After an almost agonizing amount of federal investigation into possible Russia connections in the past election, a domino finally fell. The question, though, is whether or not this is the domino that might possibly bring down other dominos.
While concourses of people were giving Robert Mueller a proverbial pat on the back after the news broke of Flynn’s guilty plea, Flynn had something else in mind. Sure, he pled guilty to lying to the FBI, but Flynn quickly struck a deal with Mueller, hinting at spilling all of the assumed details on President Donald Trump.
While nodding their heads in unison, they say “it’s finally time to see the whole corrupt administration go down.”
It is important to note that the only thing remotely critical about this whole story is that someone lied. Kind of like when you eat two cookies from the cookie jar, then tell your mother repeatedly you only ate one. Flynn’s guilty plea of lying means just that – he lied.
Countless news organizations hunting after readership started wildly speculating that this is the end of it all, but in reality, it is evidence that the investigation has not really progressed at all. Admittedly, the guilty plea could mean anything or something, but it also signifies nothing.
It should be well remembered that even President Barack Obama questioned the validity of Flynn, later advising against hiring him. Flynn was given way too much information. Because Trump was and is quite opposed to Obama, the hiring of Flynn could have presumably been out of spite just to go against Obama’s recommendation, but that is simply speculation.
Also worth remembering is that Flynn’s questionable time was not during Trump’s presidency, rather during the time of President-elect. This is no small detail. It is important enough that some large news sources are having to go back and retract or correct stories in order to clarify this detail. If indeed Trump was involved or gave the order is was clearly while he was in the capacity of the incoming executive not Commander in Chief. He was looking ahead at foreign policy issues and potential problems and simply preparing, and that is still a large if.
Still, though, the left is salivating at the possibility of tossing out Trump, already starting to whisper and chant “Lock Him Up!” The left, in their quick efforts to eradicate Trump, failed to remember that in the what if scenario, Trump never gave the order, but rather it was his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who would have given the go ahead.
If this were the case, there would be no evidence existing that shows this order. Everything that was done, if indeed it was, was out of the best intentions of many people, not Trump exclusively.
And finally, the one detail in all of this that the Dems hate is that almost a year ago now, the things that Flynn did say on the phone to the Russian Ambassador passed all FBI tests without raising any red flags – that was reported by the Washington Post nearly a year ago.
While Trump may have shortcomings, like any politician does, it is also worth remembering that he is not in any way vulnerable or naive enough to gamble his entire presidency on Russia.
So, again a sad day for the Democrats because there just is nothing pointing to the dire conclusion they all dream of. While there may be key members of Trump’s inner circle that could be connected, there is simply nothing tying Trump to any of this. The Democrats will more than likely continue to blindly lie to themselves, insisting that Trump indeed is guilty all the while refusing to believe any sort of truth about the investigation if it contradicts their ultimate dream come true scenario.
Looking ahead with this in mind sheds light on just how rabid the left can be in times like this. Any hint of hope or glimmer of possibility for them to succeed only pushes their hopes higher and higher making them go to further extremes to try bringing that hope to pass. Eventually, this will lead to a massive collapse of hope for the left in more ways than they could have ever imagined or thought of. Yes, it will be a beautiful day. We can all see it coming over here, yet the Dems somehow cannot. Until then, sit back and get comfortable as we near ever closer to the tipping point of the left.
